The Trinamool Congress used helicopters 521 times during the current Lok Sabha election campaign in Bengal, the most among all parties, according to the Election Commission. The BJP used helicopters 124 times, while the Congress and Independent Party used them twice each, and the CPM did not use any helicopters.
Election Commission data revealed that Trinamool sought permission to use helicopters 676 times, with 521 approvals. BJP had 183 requests and used helicopters 124 times. The extensive campaign efforts in Bengal also included nearly 1 lakh meetings and processions, with West Medinipur and North 24 Parganas seeing the highest number of events.
